NESARC Responds to DOI Request for Input on ESA Regulations
On March 28, 2011, NESARC filed comments with the Department of the Interior (DOI) responding to its request for input on existing significant regulations, including those related to implementation of the ESA. DOI’s call for comments was in response to the President’s Executive Order 13563 on improving regulation and regulatory review. The NESARC comments focus on the need for DOI to modify the section 7 consultation process under the ESA.
